To increase the sacrifice spirit of the members of youth league and set up the new image of new youth league members, on Oct. 23, answering the call of Shifan street party youth league workers’ committee, Huadong instrument and meter factory organized party youth league members to the Huangtandong village in the north of Yueqing city to take part in the activity named “my contribution to environment protection”. The Huantandong Village has a history of over 800 years, famous for its luxurious forest, pretty rivers, exotic stones and caves, ancient houses and temples, old shrines, with their unique scenery and culture. This village was elected into the first group of “china’s scenic village”, which was the only one in our province that was listed in the 15 “China’s scenic villages”. More and more tourists had barbecue and picnic there, which polluted the surrounding. 9 youth league members voluntarily organized this activity of public welfare, to collect cabbage littered by tourists on their way to scenic spots while enjoying the scenes, named “my contribution to environment protection”. With the increase of tourist in weekends, league members actively publicized knowledge of environment protection to tourists. Through this activity, league members not only enhanced their team cohesion, but also cultivated the members’ establishment of right ideals and concepts, practically improve their learning of politic work and make a contribution to environment protection.
