How to Deal with Malfunctions of Electric Heaters

The electric heater is a popular liquid heating device, which can heat liquid for a comparatively short period. Yet during the heating process, if not handled properly, there will be numerous malfunctions, decreasing the life span of electric heaters. How should we deal with such malfunctions?

After being used for certain time, the electric heater may fail to heat. The reason may be that the heating wire within the heater is broken. To solve this problem, just change or reconnect the broken wires. It’s also possible that loose circuit gives rise to poor connection. In this situation, the loose circuit needs to be reconnected. If the heating tubes break during the usage, they need to be changed. It’s common that electricity leakage appears in the use of electric heaters. The first step to repair is to specify the location of electricity leakage. If it’s electric heating tubes, use ovens to heat them for a while is okay to solve the problem. If it does not work well and the leakage still remains, the electric heating tubes must be changed. Also, water intake in junction box or damage to insulation coat can lead to electricity leakage. One should blow it dry and repair the damage with insulation tape.

It’s very important to timely identify and solve the problem after malfunctions appear in electric heaters. In later use, users must handle the problems properly in case of any accident.
